The IRS audit went well!
Believe it or not, the IRS audit went really well! It turns out Mom and Jay’s CPA did not account for their depreciation correctly in 2002 and they were actually owed a refund! We hope that since this audit worked out in their favor, maybe they won’t be audited for any other years.
More good news is that Jay is officially back to work - yeah. I’m heading to San Antonio tomorrow to see Mom and take her to the CT scan on Monday. Grams, Julie and I got her a bottle of her favorite perfume, Insolence, to celebrate the completion of her FOLFOX chemo. As soon as she is feeling up to it, I’m also going to take her on a little shopping spree to get some new clothes that fit a little bit better since she has lost quite a bit of weight. Julie also got mom a Home Depot gift-card for Easter so she could stock up on flowers for her garden and flower boxes.
I think it’s good to celebrate the little victories! Surgery is next! We are all very anxious for the meeting on April 9th to find out when it is going to be scheduled.
