Benefit BBQ was a great success!
The benefit BBQ we had on December 16th at the Wild Horse Saloon in Bandera, Texas was a great success! The ultimate goal of the benefit was to raise money for medical expenses incurred by Nicky for chemotherapy and radiation. Local businesses around Bandera, Texas graciously donated items for the auction. We would like to thank all of the local businesses who donated items for auction as well as those who purchased items at the auction, especially Eldon Reed. Special thanks to Luke and Twilla of the Wild Horse for hosting the event, Murph and Dawn for donating the hogs, Jim and Lee for cooking the hogs, Junior for being a great auctioneer, Jack Feagan for the beautiful painting he donated, Jeannie & Nik Villarreal and Tommy & Kerrie Reed for all of their help organizing the event. I’d also like to thank Jamie Woolsey for coming all the way from Fayetteville, Arkansas to help me with the event as well as hand delivering the homemade BBQ sauce. We would also like to thank our family (Uncle David, Cassie, Miranda, Little Dave, Meggan, and Maggie) in Colorado for driving to Texas to suprise Nicky the day of the Benefit BBQ.
